Keep Portland Weird
I thought I'd post this to those that don't make it to Portland often and want to be artistic. You know I not a big "fan" of horses, but this pubic art project idea is cool. Next time your walking around the old part of the city here is something to do, or look for.
Scott Wayne Indiana, an artist in Portland, OR, realized that there are over 200 seemingly random brass rings embedded in different parts of the city. They rings, which serve no purpose today, originated during a time when horses and horse carriages were tied to them in the 1800's.
To reconnect people with their original use, Scott began "The Horse Project" - a public art installation in which people tie toy horses to the brass rings.
To participate:
For this public art project, utilize the metal rings that are located on various sidewalks around Portland, Oregon.
(The rings have been embedded in the concrete curbs since they were actually used to secure horses and
carriages.) First, acquire a toy horse and locate a ring. Second, simply tie your horse. Third, leave the horse
there just as one would have left their actual horse a hundred years ago. Yours is a gift to the city.
If you email a picture of your horse here , http://www.horseproject.net/ it will be posted.

Whole Foods + Cheese= Heaven
Try the Whole Foods Chocolate milk in the old school glass bottles, you will never drink any other milk again. So so so GOOD!

Sticker Cat
I'm in a "rebel" art mood lately, I've been looking at a lot of street art and graffiti. I like the idea of fast appearing "flash art", that makes you think and smile as you walk on bye.
I just found this...
I think i need some GNOME stickers for my next trip! I'll keep you posted on any "sightings"
Flying Cat from peaches on Vimeo.
